We are flexible to various data transfer methods preferred by our clients, particularly:
Web-enabled Secure FTP
In this method, clients transfer their digital audio or video files from their recording device to their PC and then send them to SwiftWorks via the internet. We accept virtually all digital audio and video formats. The client simply logs on to our website, clicks on CLIENT LOGIN, enters username and password, selects the recordings to be sent from their PC, and then clicks UPLOAD. To retrieve transcripts or subtitle/caption files, the client follows similar steps and then clicks DOWNLOAD. File transfers from/to our secure FTP server are protected with SSL encryption. This entire process can be done automatically if the client has a file transfer utility software like WS_FTP of FTP Voyager.
For digital video recordings, we accept AVI, MPEG1, MPEG2, WMV, MOV, and MP4 formats. Analog videos such as PAL, NTSC and SECAM will need to be converted to any of the digital formats above. For uploading convenience, clients may need to convert and/or compress high resolution digital video files prior to sending. If assistance is needed, our technical support specialist can guide the client in this procedure. Go to top
Virtual Private Network (VPN)
In this method, data transfer is done in two ‘Server-Client’ Options. In the first option, the customer acts as the ‘VPN Server’ (host) and SwiftWorks acts as the ‘Client’ who connects. SwiftWorks is provided with a username/password as well as the customer’s IP address to connect to. SwiftWorks is assigned network folders from where recordings will be downloaded and to which transcripts will be uploaded to. The customer may also provide SwiftWorks their own network platform or their own software solution as an alternative to using the folder set-up. In the second option, opposite roles are assumed by the two parties. This time, SwiftWorks acts as the ‘VPN Server’ and the customer acts as the ‘Client’.

Secure Email
Transcripts are conveniently sent to the client via email, but protected with SSL encryption. The client will need to provide SwiftWorks their digital ID. If none available, this can be acquired by the client free of charge.
Secure e-Fax
Transcripts are conveniently sent directly to the client’s fax machine. They leave our server as electronic documents and get converted to hard copies when received by the client’s fax machine. The same transcripts can also be made available for download via Web-enabled Secure FTP Transfer. The Secure e-Fax data transfer method is also protected with SSL encryption. Go to top |
